The SteamKid Rocketpack was based on a character I created in a short demo animation, which is in development to become a live action web series.  The winged rocketpack combines hand crafted elements and mechanisms with found objects, all finished with faux-texture painting.  A ripcord allows the wearer to open and close the wings via a hidden mechanical track.  The track can be held in the "up" position with a pin to allow the actor's hands to be free.  A red LED 'infinity mirror' is in the upper window to act as a power source, and the front removes for easy access.  The entire faceplate of the pack removes via 3 wingnuts, for easy access in the field if repairs are necessary.
